This morning, we got out of work early, and Michael wanted to go to Hilo (about 30 miles away) so that he could get some supplies and check his post office box before that labor day crowd of bikers came through town. Apparently, on labor day, biker gangs from all the islands come here to the Big Island to wreak havoc.
But, we had a nice lunch at the Lili’uokalani gardens in town by the waterfront:
It was really beautiful there…
It was really nice eating lunch there and then we ran a bunch of errands and went to the hot ponds for the afternoon.
I think tomorrow, we’re going to go out to see the lava and we’re going to go a back way where we can actually see the lava!
